Hi all,

I have an IS220d, manual gearbox, 2007 model.

Recently my door locks started to play up. Here is what happens:

I walk up to my car, try to unlock doors by touching drivers handle, I can hear all 4 doors try to unlock, but only the drivers door unlocks.

Same thing happens from the keyfob, press unlock and only the drivers door unlocks.

To open the passenger door and rear doors, I have to get into the car and flip the relevant lock, which is a major pain when several people want to get in.

Once inside, the drivers door has a switch to lock all doors and unlock them. This is playing up too. I press it, and only the drivers door locks/unlocks. Tried the keyfob inside the car, only the drivers door locks/unlocks.

I have seen several threads with this issue:

http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/76283-unlock-all-doors-instead-of-just-drivers/

http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/77662-is220d-door-locking-problems

http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/73417-2008-is220d-central-locking-problem/

And I had a good read through this:

http://drivers.lexus.com/t3Portal/document/om/OM53587U/pdf/sec_01-02.pdf

I have tried pressing both lock/unlock button on the keyfob for 10 second, and the little LCD on the dash shows that all doors should unlock. But the issue still persists.

Does anyone have a definitive answer or some insight on what I can do to fix this. I just want all the doors to open/lock simultaneously.

Thanks.

Have u tried in different location sometimes it's electrical interference as it's a smart key. It happened to my is220d happened few times, once on is250. But mine didn't open at all,had to open manually using key but alarm went off, u touch fob on start/stop button then it started , alarm also stopped

How often do you use the other doors on the car, reason I ask is you mention that the other doors attempt to unlock but fail to do so.

I have never heard of 3 locks sticking at the same time but it could be a mechanical problem with stiff mechanisms. The only way to be sure is strip out the door card and take a look at what actually moves when the fob is pressed on one of the faulty doors and go from there.

Hi I had the same problem with mine and I read all the posts on this forum and the are all wrong.

If you sit in the drivers seat and press the door unlock/ lock button and you here a click from where the bonnet catch is then here is the problem.

The fuse box located under the drivers footwell at the right hand side is receiving the signal but is not able to switch the relay for the other doors.

I think this is a temperature problem as when it is cold it works fine.

Change this fuse box , it is a bit fiddly and will take an hour or so but should cure the problem.

BEWARE IF YOU GET A PRE 2010 FUSEBOX THE FOLDING MIRRORS WILL NOT WORK AFTER THE FUSEBOX IS CHANGED.

HOPE THIS HELPS
