Intrusion Sensor.?

Guys,

Still in my 'getting to know my car phase'..! Does my 2008 SE-L have an intrusion sensor? I cant see the option on the satellite settings, I am pretty sure i did see something when i had the car as the alarm went off a few times when I had the car first.

Is there a tell tale sign the car is fitted with one or not?

The intrusion sensor is in the dome light.

There's a compartment that looks like it might be a sunglasses holder, but isn't.

Open it using a prybar on the rear edge (i.e. edge furthest from windscreen), and you'll see a bundle of wires and the intrusion sensor.

interesting, but still no sign of sensor on the satellite menu. Rather surprised myself.

from the Thatcham website, vehicles fitted with a Cat 1 alarm system (which must include an interior sensor)

arm the alarm with a window open, leave 60 seconds and then wave your arm around inside. You will soon know if the sensor is working.
