Insurance For Two Lexus' - One Driver

Hi - am a long time LS400 enthusiast and owner.

Just bought a new 1997 to replace a 1996.

As if that is not enough to annoy the wife (who hates the mpg, not the car) I have further worsened relations by buying a 1993 Soarer SC300 as well...... it was just too interesting to pass up on !!

Now trying to arrange new insurance and failing to get any sense.

Being retired I can commit to 3000 miles / year total for both.

Unfortunately this scenario does not fit the usual broker boxes for ticking - trying to arrange new insurance for one owner / one driver to cover both cars and failing to get any sensible response.

The Soarer, being 1993, also classifies as a "classic" - that's another spanner thrown in......

Would welcome any comments, guidance, recommendations, etc, from any member who has faced this situation and achieved a satisfactory solution.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you park the Soarer offroad? Then the classic insurance works just fine. You won't get much (if any) benefit from your existing NCD, and nor does classic insurance create new NCD, but classic insurance is so cheap it doesn't matter. The last one I had was a supercharged MR2 for about £110/year. Can't imagine the Soarer would be much more.

I've got far too many cars, and have had the dance with multicar insurance (not worth it, etc) for the last few years. Now each car has its own policy, some earn their own NCD, others don't.

Hi,

Please feel free to give us a try if you like. If you wanted to PM me your details I'd be happy to arrange for one of my quotes team to give you a call back.

Regards,
