Aircon Temperature

Recommended Posts

Think mine needs a re-gas but checking how others find theirs first. I am used to it being ice cold in other cars but in my isf it takes a good 5 minutes to get cold ish.

Am I alone?

Sounds like an internal flap is stuck so you are only getting cold air directed to one side, or the drivers side temp sensor might be dodgy.

Not at all. £90. Inspection of aircon unit, dye in system to look for leakes. System vacuumed and re-filled.

VERY cold straight away now :) as I would expect.

Thanks Stuart....mine is cold but a slight smell every now and then which means it may need regassing.

Oh on. Not pricey at all. It was toyota though. They are 5 mins from me while lexus is 45 so I go there for small jobs.

Glad you got it sorted Stu. :)

If you get that kind of musky smell when you turn off the A/C, does that suggest you need a re-gas then? Only ask as mine is doing that a lot at the moment! :(

May have to get mine done if that's the case.

Think mine could do with a re-gas and deodorising soon. :(

May see if my local Toyota dealer can do it. If not, may try Lexus Canterbury.

Wonder how long the offer Malc got is running? Will do some digging. :)
