Hi all. Looking for some advice really. As you can see I have unfortunately damaged the inside of the near side rear door. Lexus Cardiff doesn't do interior cosmetic repairs and Lexus Bristol say that they can have a try for around £250 but would probably still be quite visible. Either that or over £2k for a new panel! Give that a miss I think. Anyway just wondering if anyone knows any Lexus dealers who may have done similar repairs or even independent repairers that could have a look. I am from South Wales but am willing to travel if someone can give a good recommendation. All help appreciated!

There are mobile interior repairers, I have used “Automotive

repair systems” before but I don’t know if they cover your area.

My damage was not as extensive as yours, they fill it with

some sort of plastic paste then spray it with a leather looking spray, they didn’t

have the colour match for my car so had to send a sample away to get the right

colour match, but I was impressed with the results, and you had to look fairly

hard to see the repair, but as I said my damage was not as bad as yours. This was

a few years ago, I think it cost around £80

its a long shot but you could try a breakers for a replacement panel.

I saw an article in "Car Mechanics" a year or so ago and when they had a Mazda Eunos as a "Project"car.

I seem to remember they had the leather refurbished in that and the guy was a one man band from the Lancashire area.

I'll have a dig through the pile.

Otherwise have a search for a local company but ask to see examples of their work and past customer recommendations before committing.

Here's one in Swansea, they show a repaired MG seat, not sure if that is good or bad :)
