Gs 300 Speakers

Hello to anybody who can respond. I recently purchased a GS300 model 1994 from a previous owner and came to find out that all the speakers were shot. I'm having problems getting people to install new speakers because they have to build special brackets. The people told me that if I change the speakers to custom speakers, I.E. MB Quart, Inginity, then I wouldn't be able to install a custom head unit. I also wanted to change the head unit also but they said that If I did that, then I wouldn't be able to change the factory speakers into custom speakers. Confused? So am I. So now, I'm in the position to change my old factory speakers into newer speakers but I can't find them anywhere. If anybody has a custom stereo system in their GS 300 please let me know if there is a better way to go about this situation. I would greatly appreciate it. Just imagine driving a totally silent car.

Sounds like you're being told lies mate.

There's no reason that I can think of why you shouldn't be able to change your head unit if you change your speakers.

interested to hear how you get on. Ask Duncan for his advise. we have fallen foul of this in the past at our peril. HE knows more about these things than I know about ***** enlargement pills! er... did I say that out loud? oops!
