Why Can't I Add A Link?

I want to get some advice on an eBay item but I can't add the link. Can someone tell me how to do it? I've done it before, but I'm lost with it this time. I click on the icon that says "link" but it won't let me download it.

It's a browser issue. I can with my Iphone but can't with my laptop.

I can never understand why you can't just copy and paste, it would be so much easier.

It is very annoying. Have to use my mobile every time I want to post pictures or clips etc

I just copy and paste the link into the diaglogue box using Safari.
