Dark Rose Interior

Recommended Posts

White F sport in white on order with standard interior and saw one in the flesh today with dark rose. Wow wished id paid the extra. :msn-oh:

It really is special and worth the extra. Its not as garish as it appears in the brochure or on line. Plus the red stitching on dash and wheel really set it off.

Ian, you are quite right about seeing it in the flesh. None of the photos I've seen really do it justice, I'm so pleased I was able to see it, and similarly the sonic titanium before making up my mind. It really pays to do the research even if it means a bit of travelling.

Of course it's also hugely personal and what appeals to one turns another off. Be pretty boring if we all liked the same!

Yup, each to his own. I took a missive risk ordering my Mesa Red with Ivory leather without seeing it in the flesh first but wow was I pleased when I saw it for the first time. It's stunning, especially when the sun hits it :) no regrets at all.

Ian

I agree that the Dark Rose interior is something rather special. I waited (rather impatiently I might add!) until I had seen one in the flesh before I placed my order. Whilst it was difficult to be patient, I am glad that it did as it looks stunning and really sets off the car and adds that extra dimension. The extra red stitching detailing makes all the difference as well. I'm one very happy bunny overall.

Somehow, some of the photo's that I have seen, seem to show the leather looking quite a bright red when in reality, it is nothing like it. It almost borders on a maroon type red.

Great News . As a longshot I contacted fleet and they are able to change my order to add dark rose leather. Now I'm really excited. Just got to wait until 1st June now.

I'm looking into what else you get when adding leather and I'm amazed. So far I think you get as part of leather package

  • Power folding mirrors linkable to door opening closing
  • Auto dipping mirrors when selecting reverse
  • Electric adjustable steering- with memory function
  • Ventilated seats
  • memory position on seats linkable with key so adjusts according to what key you use

All chargeable extras on Audi and BMs :msn-oh:

Lexus really undersell what you get...Anything else I've missed?

Hi Ian

Nope, I think you got it all all there, you really do get all of that as part of the leather package that you simply would not know about as its not really stated anywhere obvious. I was chuffed to find out all the extra bits that are included

I still think though that there are some options that you should still be able to specify on the F-Sport that you simply can't as they are only available on the Premier such as the blind spot monitor/lane assist and rear cross path detection as these would have been valuable to have.

Strange that Lexus don't offer some form of low speed auto braking feature that even the VW golf has as standard nowadays.
