Hello everyone, I am a new member and only had my Lexus is200 sport a year. It's been a super car so far. I know it's a lot to ask as only just joined and typical woman know nothing about cars! Ha ha.

I have developed two warning lights on my dash, one being the oil light and the other reference a rear bulb?, they both came on same time and yes I have checked the oil level, ha ha. All lights work, bizarre and the rev counter doesn't work and also the mpg gauge doesn't work, confused, has anyone come across this before or any advice please, would really appreciate any thoughts please.

Thanking you all in advance. 😊

I'd say you have water ingress. That's the usual culprit of the dash lighting up what it wants and some of the instruments not working.

Check the fuse boxes in both drivers and passengers footwells. If they are wet/damp inside, there's your problem.

Common if the car has had a windscreen replacement

Thanks so much for your replies, they have been a great help. We found some corroded wires in fuses in near side box as suggested, after tampering with them the lights went out for a bit but then all the dash went mad and came back on. My mechanic is going to take the box out and try and sort it which said isn't easy and not a 5 minute job, as need to mark all wires so know where they go back. At least fingers crossed its runny well. Thanks so much again for your help, it saved a lot of time as we initially thought the dash would have to come out, thank goodness not. Cheers all 😄
