Cleaned egr still getting 23-24mpg it might just my driving habit but pickup is much better. now need to clean air mass sensor on my is220d So what is the best cleaner to use?????? Please advise as there r few on market

I've not seen what the mass air sensor is like on the is220d but on previous cars I have cleaned them with some brake cleaner and cotton wool buds. I have no idea if this is even possible on the is220d though

Hi I cleaned my MAF sensor two weeks ago and can honestly say it has made a difference in the response I get when accelerating.

I used Halfords Electricial Contact Cleaner £3.99 for a big can and used about a quarter.

Very easy to do...just take the two screws out and then blast the sensor with the cleaner..it comes with a straw so a bit like a jet wash when spraying.

Make sure you dry it well thou when you put it back...I did however disconnect the Battery to let the ECU reset and learn again.

Go ahead and do it it's well worth 30 minutes of your time.

My throttle body was cleaned when I bought car my Battery. + had white @ blue powder on.it cleaned it radio wasnt affected but Windows from drivers side wasnt working this forum is great found how to reset my Windows @ now its working.forte diesal treatment is another way u can get better mpg only fill half tank add forte @ wait for light to come on @ fill afterwards ad normal it cleanes ur egr
