The current LS was the first to sport an 8-speed automatic box, back in 2006. Clarkson mocked it with the IS-F, but now almost every self-respecting premium Euro-barge has one. Also, I think the LS was the first to use LEDs as dipped beams.

I did hear that Lexus have never sold a replacement gearbox for an LS400!. Fact or fiction?.

At over £5000.00 for a late 90's brand new Lexus transmission I wonder how many are sitting on the shelf?

I suppose one day they will have to have a clear out at bargain prices.
