Fed up with screeching, juddering wiperblades? So was I until I bought some "ap high performance aero blades" on the net from amazon. Good thing is, they are dead cheap. Half the price of Bosch BUT ,--- WOW! Total, absolute and complete silence from the windscreen. Didn't think I would ever be free of noisey wipers after 2 years of trying.

If you buy them, make sure to get 22" and16" blades. They sent me a 20" first time. Sent it back, got 22" but, when I tried, it wouldn't quite fit driver's side wiper arm. Damn. (Driver's side has a metal ridge that slightly impeded fitment). To save a load of hassle, I decided to shave off 2mm of plastic along one side of the connector to allow for the ridge and hopefully make a perfect fit. It worked a treat. Now I have beautifully silent wipers. Tried them out in the rain today. Bliss.

I had Bosch wipers a few years back but had the same problem. I ended up going to Lexus for some and no problems since. I don’t know who makes them (they came in Lexus branded packaging) and can’t recall how much they cost – but worth every penny!

To be honest, I find it is best sticking with OEM parts for the Lexus. They got it right when the built it so it makes sense to stick with the parts they originally fitted!

For me, the Lexus stealership is a one and a half hour round trip. I'm just pleased that I've finally found some blades that actually work smoothly and silently and don't cost an arm and a leg.

I need new blades, as they have gone from silent to squeaky.

I have seen the aero blades on Autobulbsdirect.co.uk (used them for HIDs in past), so may give them a whirl. The web site gives reviews which are thumbs up for the blades.

But will ring local Lexus dealer to see what they have.

I heard in the past of Lexus charging £80 for blades (though I suspect this means arms as well, not just blades!!)
