I am due for my 80K Service soon and have been in contact with Lexus Leeds and Lexus Bradford.

I was really surprised in the price difference between these two dealers

Lexus Leeds = £365

+ £25 for Courtsey Car

Lexus Bradford = £250 (inc VAT & Free Courtsey Car)

Lexus Bradford their service works out cheaper, any idea why the difference and also what is involved in the 80K Service?

Thanks

I would ask for a breakdown of all the things they will be doing. You may find, for example, one is replacing the brake fluid and the other one isn't. However there can be large differences between dealer prices!

An 80k service should be a full service + gearbox oil + engine coolant and depending when your air filter was last changed that may be changed as well.

Remember your GOLD discount

Well Lexus Bradford Offer:

Air Filter

Pollen Filter

Oil

Oil Filter

Diff Oil

Coolent Change

Lexus Leeds Offer Same as above, but Engine Flush & Injector Cleaner..

Estimated service time is 2.4 Hours, surely these 2 additional items at Lexus leeds don't cost £100 to do?

Rang Lexus Bradford they will do the Engine Flush & Injector Cleaner in the same price of £250, so you can guess where i'll be goin :whistling:

dont pay £100 for them to do an injector clean......all they will do...if they do it is add a cleaner to the petrol.......just the same as you can.

an engine flush.....hmmmm,

Tell me about it

I've heard that Engine Flush is not a good thing? can you comment on that Mat?

Why don't dealers follow the service schedule? Brake fluid should be changed on a Full service.

Gearbox oil should be checked every 40,000miles and not replaced as I said earlier.

You shouldn't need an engine flush if quality oil is being used and it's replaced at the correct intervals.
