Tyre Sizes?

Hey guys,

I need some new front tyres and dont know what size to get. Currently I have a set of 2005 subaru STI alloys on my car and they came with 235/45/17 on all corners.

Some people recommend smaller tyres on the front ao should I just get some 225/45/17s?

Personal choice really, I run 255/40/17s on the rear and 235/45/17s upfront.

I have a spacesaver spare so this will fit in any position.

If the price difference between your 2 choices is minimal stick with the 235s.

Would 225/45 fit ok on an 8" wide alloy ok? Can save £10 per tyre just by going down from a 235/45

Yes 8" rims will take tyre sizes from 215 to 245.
