Hi folks,

Just to say hello and thanks for the great information on the forum, it made my decision all tye easier to buy one. I pick her up on Monday and I can't wait!

She is an 11 plate SE-L full nav with levinson upgrade, it will be a huge step up from my Fiat Panda 100HP (I got due to a separation and couldn't afford my Subaru Legacy Spec-b).

If anyone has any questions on detailing then I may be worth a shout as I have a passion for concourse and have tried pretty much everything on the market.

The only mod I'm planning for my CT is to retro fit the cruise (via my dealer) and fit Xenons.

Cheers folks.

Ross.

Welcome Ross, the great thing about these cars is that they are not the same as everything else to drive, makes the daily commute that bit more interesting. I remember the Panda 100hp when they came out and really loved them, I very nearly bought one when my job changed and a 3.0 Lexus with RWD did not mix very well with 30,000 miles a year, but a diesel Beetle piped it to the post.

What colour is your car - I love the way the pearl finish in mine catches the sunlight. Watch out though, the paint is mega soft - had mine for 5 months and nearly 10,000 miles and so far not managed to put a swirl mark on it, but only because I have been so careful washing it - snow foam - pressure wash - 2BM wash - pressure wash - rinse with hose - then drying off with plush towel. I have the ivory leather interior and that's stood up well with Dr Leather wipes every couple of weeks.

Hope you enjoy your car.

I thought the CT came with xenons as standard!?

The Premier comes with the LED light pack the rest make do with standard Halogen bulbs. There not bad as standard lights go, just could do with a bit more illumination close up when cornering. Not sure how much better the LED's are in this respect.

I picked her up yesterday and have the biggest smile on my face, already fitted my HID's which were not too difficult apart from a few cuts on my hand.

If anyone is looking for tips and a talk through it's no bother however I have no pictures as the wind was unbelievable and just wanted to get out of it as quick as possible.

I hope you all have a great Christmas and a happy new year :)
