Was out today looking for a BMW 320 or a Merc C220 but ended up buying a Lexus, it was a bit impulsive but I loved everything about the car and now doing a bit of research which is a bit back to front really :-)

It's a 2008 model with 42,250 miles on the clock and has service history, but not sure just how much as the dealer has requested a new service book as the one for the car has been "miss-placed" !!! It's a bit suspect but the dealer has given assurances that the mileage is spot on. I paid £8.500 which is ok by me providing the milage can be confirmed. It also has rear DVD monitors in the back of the front seat head rests which is a bit out of the norm but hey ho, you never know when that might come in handy lol

I've moved up from a 1.9 turbo diesel VW Boro highline so any advice or tips would be most welcome.

Welcome to the club Ian..Sounds like a nice car, Ask whether the head gasket has had the recall done on the car. The is220 is notorious for head gasket failures.
