This is the first time I have joined any forum of any kind, and my first Lexus. I finally got the opportunity to purchase a car I have wanted for many years, a 1996 GS300 Sport. The plan is to keep it going for an age, and that I can find some useful tips and advice on here, as well as share my experiences!

I used to have a 1999 GS300 and loved it.

There is a club meet coming up on 17th November at Sawley if you would like to attend, see the meets section for full details.

If you don't have the owners handbook for your GS300 let me know I have one going spare.

The owner handbook may come in handy, as I've always worked on my own cars (tools and space permitting).

I only had it delivered to me last night. My first job is to grease the rear lower control arm bushes if they're not perished, then a cambelt and tensioner service as a precaution.Today I've ordered a pair of boot and bonnet struts from the US. A friend of mine works at Inchcape Lexus, and even with their staff discount, all four struts and postage from America was cheaper than one strut that I could get from the dealership here!
