From memory the main beam bulbs for a '99 ls400 are HB3 9005.

If I'm wrong I'm sure someone will correct me :)

They are only high beam. That's all so when I'm driving with no-one around anyway

I'm guessing they are hb3 bulbs then ??

In the ad they say

"Pl note:

This model can not suitable for car with car PC , such as BMW BENZ Volkswagen etc.

This an ordinary type of product that is not band decoder, and It is the same with HID!

Product Description:"

That doesn't bode well to me, but it's your car and your money, so good luck if you go with them.

Ahhhh yeah. That is the bulb warning that comes up when the bulbs are potentially blown.

When using LEDs there is less resistance so the error would flash up on the dash

Better leave well alone !!

It might be worth looking back in the archives about changing the headlamp bulbs as I seem to remember a problem if you stray from the OEMs that are fitted.

In case you want to fit LED bulbs, make sure you get the canbus ones - regular LEDs will give a bulb error

I used Canbus LED's on my old Ls400, the error message still flagged up, the bulbs worked and showed no error in a lesser car, just shows the Ls will pick up even the smallest of change.

I stuck a normal replacement bulb in after that and they worked as good as new.

I have replaced mine with canbus LEDs in the past with no issues at all. Might be the quality of the bulb

In this case what you would do is measure the resistance on the LED bulb and measure the resistance on the normal bulb and put a resistor inline to take up the difference.

Just a little way to cheat the computer (basically what the canbus lights do)
