Help need a Head lamp washer screen expert.

I recently fitted a pair of Xenon 6000K headlamps which was a hell of a job (not for the faint hearted)

yes they also have the auto levelling system that also works (if any one thinking of doing this conversion a big bottle of aspirin is recommended §!!

Now for the stupid question (In Frog land yes sunny South of France (no snow little rain but a lot of seagull muck) §!

And many maniacs who never use indicator lights or stop at pelican crossings French law require Xenon lights to have washer jets fitted to the head lamps.

Can any educated Lexus is200 tuning buffs tell me how many pumps are fitted on the screen washer

bottle. From the various hours studying the different tech drawings does the Lexus is 300 have two pumps?

The last silly question is it easier to fit a headlight washer aftermarket kit (50€) or take the bumper

off for the 5th time and fit the original Lexus system but I will skip putting a switch in the cabin and

connect it to the screen washer directly;

Any pics / Advice most welcomed.

Regards Patrick

It uses a different pump with 2 outlets, one low pressure for windscreen and high pressure for headlamps. I take it yours is an S model if it doesn't already have them?

I happen to have a pump from an is200 wich had washer jets, Pm me if interested

Hello Monsieur le Guru

Yep that solves a lot problems any chance of you taking a pic of your pump and let me know how much dosh you want for it?

POSTAGE IN A JIFFY BACK down to Toulon by her Majesty's ROYAL Mail is fine for me.

And last daft question is it interchangble with the old unit ? (plug and play) or a few more mods lol §!

Many thanks Ian for your kind assistance

Now another question

HELP SVP

There seems to be a relay PN 85942-24010 ON THE is 300 is it the same on the IS200 ?

If I activate the screen washer by pulling on the stalk will this also send H2O to the headlamps as well ? if so why need a cabin switch ,c'ant

get my hands on a lexus is 300 to compare.... and finaly has any one done the conversion without driving the staff moderator crazy §§!

THanks Ian §!

You need a switch as headlamp washers operate separately to windscreen. If you had them both working together it would empty bottle pretty quick.. The relay is included with the pump Patrick.

This pump and relay was taken from an is200

HELLO AGAIN IAN

So to recap

Pump with two outlets (windscreen jet+headlamp washer jet) swap job

Push button cabin switch to install (will check tonight for the wiring connection)

Relay for Headlamp washer (does this have a solenoid )? or is this fitted on the pump

And last question Ian if you have the pump and relay did you keep the pop up actuators fitted on the bumper ?

I also have a complete set of Lexus IS200 Front and Rear Lights second hand in very good condition with the fogs which I wish to sell I was wondering if I am allowed to advertise on the club site and if yes how does one proceed ?

HELLO AGAIN IAN

Push button cabin switch to install (will check tonight for the wiring connection) yes switch needed

Relay for Headlamp washer (does this have a solenoid )? or is this fitted on the pump im sure it;s the one fitted to pump. other part number for is300 could be for self levelling or xenons.but not 100% sure.

And last question Ian if you have the pump and relay did you keep the pop up actuators fitted on the bumper

the car i bought as scrap for a few parts i needed already had bumper and piping ect missing, only pump was left

I also have a complete set of Lexus IS200 Front and Rear Lights second hand in very good condition with the fogs which I wish to sell I was wondering if I am allowed to advertise on the club site and if yes how does one proceed ?

HELLO IAN

So far so good but I think the relay you have might have a clone

Your relay is pn 8942-30010 and on lexus is300 its 85942-24010 but they look the same

Whats bothering my technical instinct is if the pump has two outlets once the motor is activated water will flow out of the outlets simultaneously as the impeller or impellers are mounted on a single shaft.

If I pull the screen washer stalk backwards and activate the pump then water will spray headlights and windscreen simultaneously . As i c'ant

see any solenoid stop valve mounted on the system ...anyway many thanks for the photos but i need to see both sides of the pump ie (one inlet and two outlets)if thats the case let me know your asking price .....sorry for the hassle but taking the front bumper is a pain the posteria and i just want to make sure it works ...a picture for the electrical connector would also be super . Just imagine the glory of having contributed in converting a Lexus is 200 into a led/halo/xenon spyder Haedlamp French law abiding headlamp.what will the neighbours think !

Many thanks Ian FOR ALL YOUR HELP if you want my email let me know .

All i can say is the part was removed from an X reg 2000 is200. The big rubber connector at the bottom is the inlet and the outlet for headlamp is the bigger of the other 2.

the part number is the same as another is200 on e-bay

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEXUS-IS200-RELAY-HEADLAMP-HEADLIGHT-CLEANER-CONTROL-WASHER-85942-30010-/230961322511?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item35c65e1a0f

I understand your thinking about how it operates, but it's not an ordinary single outlet pump. At the moment if you blow through the inlet ,air only comes out of larger outlet, that shows that both outlets operate separately. That must be where the relay comes in.

The relay has 5 pins in socket and the pump has 2.

Good evening Ian

so you have put them for sale on e bay §! let me know the freight costs so I can order them and pay for them via my PayPal account down to Toulon South of France;

Thanks for the tip concerning the switch I found a connector it seems to be the missing link......just need to find a switch on e bay:

I started a album on the subject check out the pics I have posted.

So I presume the connector for the relay is some where near the screen washer bottle and if I plug your pump into the existing pump connector then all I need to do is connect up the pipe work to some water jets ?

Nearly done §§!!

I have just priced it through parcel to go and the cheapest post to france is £15... :shutit:

Wasn't being nasty putting it on e-bay, just thought it wasn't what you were looking for sorry.

If you want to buy it through the forum and can send payment as a gift through paypal i can do pump for £15 so makes it £30 all in Patrick.

Sorry i can't guide you any further with the fitting but i have never done it myself. Apologies.

Hello Ian

Don't worry about it I will buy it via eBay as soon as I finish my wish list just don't sell it to anybody else please put it on standby

to recap

I have found the switch pn 84150-53010 the pump and relay your end +piping and actuators on the bumper I just need to find

two nozzle Headlamp cleaner washer PN 85381-53010 B1 AND PN 85382-53010B1 any ideas who might have a pair to sell ?

when I have found the last item then I will put all into action as I don't fancy doing it in different stages as the bumper and the

relay box and the portside headlamp will have to come out : So I need all the parts in one hit and the parts have to arrive at

the end of the following week as I am away next week and I don't want the post to leave it on the door step !

In any case many thanks for all your kind help I will post pictures when its done ; PS I wished I had purchased a Lexus IS300 ! LOL
