Text Message Readouts

My previous phone, the Lumia 800 (Windows o/s) connected with the option of having text messages read out in car but my new phone, the Sony Xperia Z1 won't do this - could I be missing something from the set up or are other Sony owners having the same problem?

Wicksy, go to www.my.lexus.eu for the Lexus portal and there is a Bluetooth compatibility tool which will tell you what phone does what. Having said that I think the Lexus software is buggy. My Iphone will sometimes display/read messages and sometimes won't. The audio Bluetooth function stops after about 5 minutes too, I have to click the play icon on the phone to restart. Most frustrating. Supposedly the Iphone has the correct MAP software to display e mail but that doesn't work either.

All a little hit and miss, perhaps a consequence of being an early adopter. Maybe there will be a software update soon. The States have one already, but the regions all seem so different I can't be certain whether we have all started from the same release.

Thanks for the info DJP - the portal says that both the Lumia and the Xperia aren't compatible but the Lumia worked fine previously - you are correct - a Lexus update is needed to sort this out - hopefully soon
