Problem Someone Can Help With (Fingers Crossed)

Hello all,

Right had this problem for quite a while with my 02 ls200.. seems to be using a lot of fuel and juddery when pulling away and a little trouble starting now and again.

It also just hasn't the power i know there should be.

When it been on a long run ( say a good couple of hours ) it starts to run lovely and will for about a week and then back to running poor.

Its as though somethings getting clogged up or blocked and the fuel is being cained but with rubbish performance.

Had it serviced and everything changed but that didn't really help.

Am thinking of getting the diagnostics done but would appreciate any input...

Thanks

Gary

If you have no warning lights then I very much doubt a diagnostic would show anything up.

Clean the throttle body, air filter etc and as above try putting some of that BG44K stuff in. I've never used it but others swear by it.

When you say you serviced it did you change the spark plugs as well?

Thanks, will give that a go.

Yeah the spark plugs and all filters were changed and i think it was cool for a week then same old story.

It just seems something is clogging up...very frustrating.

Thanks for replys

Get it on a fault code reader too. There's always a chance the fault light bulb has blown, or disappeared as they so often can!

If its missing then the system will pick it up. It will store codes that haven't warranted illuminating the light too.
