Free Bt Sport And Barclays Premiership Football - Reminder

Recommended Posts

If you've got BT Broadband haven't done it, call BT and get Barclays premiership for free. Call them. Even though it's free, you do have to request it (not everyone wants it). You can get BT Sport channels free on Sky - as long as you have (and pay for) BT Broadband.

I'm not happy about this. I'm mad on football do I obviously have the full sky sports package and ESPN.

Now I'm told a lot of premiership football will be on BT Sport. That's another £15 per month for me as a sky customer and I don't want BT broadband. I had it a few years ago and received the worst connection and the worst customer service ever. My sky broadband is brilliant so I don't want to change!

Another point to be aware of is that if you do decide to get BT Sport etc you are then entering into a fresh broadband contract with BT. My contract expires in October and I will be free to shop around but not if I sign up to BT Sport/Premiership football.

I was wondering what BT Infinity was like? Has anyone here used it? Option 1 or 2? Any experiences shared here much appreciated.

had it for a couple of years - been excellent although I don't use the rubbish router BT supply.

Not got infinity but normal broadband through the router supplied by BT is normally excellent here......but I believe we are only about 100 metres from the exchange.

I understand Infinity is normally fibre to the cabinet - which means you only lose some bandwidth from the cable that runs between your house and the BT cabinet up the road. Form the cabinet to the house you don't lose anything - I have it and consistently get 77mbps now downstream and 17mbps upstream. It's awesome. The newer small black wifi router works really well, and apparently has won loads of awards. But you have to have a modem too, which I don't think is great! It's a Huwawei or something like that....

I have Total Broadband Option 3.

Which router to you use.

I feel for all those that have the Sky Sports package (I have too) and it seems to get weaker and weaker each year. Last year we had ESPN taking some of the footy now this year its BT I am a BT broadband user so get those but I think next year they are going to want extra for their sports.

Same as the movie channel that started well with some fairly decent quality films and at least one block buster type movie each week but now its just a series of dreadful made for TV B movies.
