Meant to ask about this months ago but forgot...

Shortly after we bought our RX400h, kids kept complaining that the seat belts for the rear nearside (behind front passenger) and middle seats were "not right".

After close inspection, I found that the buckles of these two belts were facing the wrong way, in the sense that it was impossible to clip the belt in place without twisting the belt. Apart from the fact that this presented safety issues, it was also uncomfortable.

I took the car back to the dealer who, whilst puzzled, rectified the problem so that the belt buckles now face the "right" way.

Was mine an isolated issue?

Has anyone else noticed this on their car?

no issue with mine. The numbers stamped to the metal buckle all face inwards. All curve around the passenger when used.

Not on my Lexus but both my wife and my mum have managed to get the buckles upside down more than once on my cars.
