Hi, used the car in the day ......... and not so hot as it has been ........... then yesterday evening decided to drive into Elmley National Nature Reserve, about 2 miles from me ( wow it's a fantastic place ) and the rev counter needle was just stuck for the first 10 mins. Just stuck ............ freed itself then, so I guess the heat effect maybe expanded the needle or summat ?

Malc ,hi it sounds a bit like the sticky lubrication problem that used to effect the needles on the earlier models , a temporary cure is a sharp rap on top of the dash when the needle sticks . There are several threads on hear about sticky needle problems ,if it is the lubrication turned to glue then it is a dash out job for a lasting cure. The speedo on my mark 2 sometimes sticks but only in very hot weather , I can live with it as hot weather around here is normally as rare as LS's .

Elmley is nice if you are into nature and can walk miles ,took two of my grandsons there in the spring was on my knees by the time we got to the hides.

Good luck with your sticky needle , we will probably pass each other sometime as we live fairly close.
