Recommended Posts

Re done mine recently, Big Red sell caliper rebuild kit for £35.00 ish, so worth giving it a go yourself, having said that, I have no idea how much new/refurbed calipers are.

If your IS is a later year it might be worth trying to rebuild it, because mine is 13 years old it made more sense to just replaced mine... and the above, try and source the exact problem. It was the pistons on mine so a re-grease didnt solve much for me. and i couldnt find anywhere that just sold pistons for this car

Good news Pete :)

I had my MOT last Monday and the brake balance test showed just 3% imbalance as opposed to 24% last year. 2 new callipers for me and what a difference it's made! My mate who MOT'd it said it's better than some cars going through their first MOT at 3 years old! If your imbalance is more than 25% it will fail mate.
