Inexpensive Upgrade?

Gee,if its power then im afraid unless its forced induction(turbo or supercharger] then NO.Otherwise try an induction kit or panel filter or an aftermarket exhaust, but we are talking minimal or no gains. If its power then swap car for an is300 or altezza rs200.

Thanks Ian. Its not just about mpg, but because of my age my insurance would murder me. I think i might do something cosmetic on the interior - possibly get parts of the dash wrapped in carbon fibre. Hmmm

U might be surprised with the insurance difference between the 2. Cud always get a quote for a 300 just to double check. Not saying urs will be the same as others but pretty sure some people see very minimal changes

Lol. Ive been looking at induction kits on eBay and theyre £250, so im thinking about putting one in as im really not prepared to get a 300. Ive checked my insurance and its £600 difference so im gona stick with the is200.

Yes Chris I can confirm its a genuine C-West front bumper. It is also true Chris is not allowed to copy my exhaust lol. Might put some pics up when im not at work. And from what I hear Prolex UK isnt meant to be a particularly reliable source (e.g. Not having stuff they say they do)...but personally have no experience of them

Definitely ring your insurer and ask how much the increase is to a 300, mine went up by £5 a month, so I didn't need my arm twisting really ;)

I was 28 when I changed up, I've been playing off insurance companies against each other ever since to keep the cost down, my renewal will be under £500 this time, which is less for me than a new quote on a group 8 2004 golf :/

Oh wow! I think i need to research a bit more on insurance. Another thing is maybe coz ur outside London, insurance is definately way cheaper. Insurance companies are corporate criminals to us young Londoners

Im 46 so insurance is quite cheap for me BUT still don't understand why an is300 worked out cheaper than a 200, even insurance people hadn't a clue why?

Yeah Ian that puzzled me aswell thats quite strange. Tax must be killer tho. Coming from an Audi A3 1.6 tax was 80, when i taxed the Lex it was 123 for 6 months i was like woaahh!
