Lack Of Power Eml

Hi guys

I got myself a 2000 plate IS200...and its doing my head in

Recently the EML light has come on, I got it code read and "multiple coil pack fault" came up.

The car is seriously under powered...like 16-17 second to 60mph!!

Before I go out buying coil packs, could this be an ECU error as the garage couldnt pin point which injector/s were faulty?

Can you put up the actual code?

If it was multiple coils I would expect the car to be mis firing quite badly and bunny hopping etc...

Very unlikely to be an ECU issue. I suspect the code was P0300 - random/multiple cylinder misfire detected.

Either a coil pack, plug or a fuel injector issue. I would start looking at the injectors as a coil pack fault normally is detected correctly - we seem to have two or three members all with the same issue at the moment.
