Lexus Is200 Stereo Harness Adapter

Hi guys,

I have a IS200 S 04 plate and i am looking at replacing the stereo, but the cabling in the back of the stereo seems to be that of a nonstandard fit. All types that (dont abuse me) Halfords can obtain for me dont fit, and i cannot find the fitting anywhere. Attached is a picture of the cabling socket.

Any ideas obviously welcome beyond having to cut the cabling and a rewire.

I know you say your car is the S version but check to see if there's an amp at left hand side of glovebox or do your rear speaker cases have lexus on them readable through rear window..

The plug you have seems to be for an amplified system.

The speakers on the parcel shelf do have Lexus readable from the rear window, i am not with the car at the moment to check the glove box. Ah ok, i was told by Halfords who 'rang' Lexus that my car was the non amplified one. is this then incorrect information.

Also, ive just realised that its a Sport, not S, specifically saying Sport on the windows.

Problem solved then matt, this is what you need, Remove big plug from amp at side of glovebox and connect to this adapter. the one below is far superior to the autoleads one which people have had problems with.
