I bought these wheels from Mark from Essex (the man with the very unusual dog) but before I think about changing the tyres in a few months I need to decide if I prefer them over the originals, so I thought I'd ask fellow Lexus owners what they think. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

To me personally, they suit smaller cars better. So sorry but it would be originals for me

No that's fine, I'd rather people be honest.

no dont really suite. some thicker alloys would be good or originals

I think they look a bit too "spindly" for the size of the car-but maybe that's just me?

I much prefer the originals but then I'm an old duffer

Not sure what age you qualify to be an old duffer, but if it's over 60 I am one!

Anyway, the originals are having a refurb so I'll make my mind up when they're done. Thanks for all your comments.

I think they look great but I would as I bought them for mine. Only reason I sold them was I got the dhp wheels & SWMBO was giving me stick about the amount of wheels in the garage.

I agree, I think they look good which is why I bought them. It does mean I've been able to do a refurb on the originals while they've been on. I asked my wife if she liked them and she said "I can't tell the difference between them and the old" It must be a man thing eh?

i like them, makes it look more modern, still if you got the originals as well, you can always swop around for a change, prob best to keep the originals, just in case you ever sell it,as it s proved on here, its personal taste

As you say, all down to personal taste. I have put the originals back on for now, and I have to say the ride is instantly better.

I would ride with the 18'' in the summer & the 16'' with winter tyres in the winter. The ride suffers a bit with the 18'' but the handling is better. Them accelera tyres are also not the best.

Sounds like fair advice. How's the dog doing anyway? :doggy:

Someone came around to buy some bike bits & fell in love with the dog offered us £5000 for her. Needless to say we are keeping her. (nice little doggy in the window)

Aahh, give her a bonio and a pat on the head for me!

I much prefer the originals but like most things it's what you think that matters at the end of the day. I had LS430 wheels on my LS400 for most of my ownership but when I was selling it I put the originals back on and I have to say it felt and drove slightly better.
