Key Cutting

Hi

As covered before , no doubt , key shell has broke , bought a cheapo replacement , remotes all good , need the key cutting , can anybody recommend a mail order company or a way of swapping the blades . My local key cutter cannot do the blades

Amazes me how some cutters say they can't do them, our local one has done 3 for me, takes him 5 mins and only charges £5.

If you want to post them me i can have it cut for you and post them back ???

hi,to be honest I. am surprised myself,my local timpsons can't,some others can but won't(don't want to risk damaging their cutting blades/tips because some of the metal used in the keys of eBay is too hard,if it doesn't work/breaks not their responsibility etc)PM me if you want and will give you the name/numbers of two guys that can help,can also cut key from key number in service history book as long as locks have not been changed.

Cheers for you help , asked the local small hardware/key cutters and he started whittering on about no demand and you will struggle to get it done , hence why I came on here , off tomorrow so pop into town and call into timpsons and get it sorted , again thanks for offers of help

Hi Jonathan, I always use a proper locksmith, and also park nearby, as they often need slight adjustment to work perfectly.
