Cd Radio Tape Player

Is it possible to put a 2006 model cd radio tape player into a 2000 w reg one as 13902 code the other as 13906 they have different wiring blocks thanks

It is some years since I had my is200 and I'm sure you will get a definitive answer soon.

From memory I don't think these are interchangeable. It comes down to an off board amp, behind the glove box on some models.

If I remember correctly models 13903, 13906 and 13909 are interchangeable as they all have the off board ( or external ) amp.

Hopefully a current owner will be able to give you the yea or nea on this.

A 2006 radio will not fit in a 2000 model as you say the connector blocks are different, also a top loading unit will not fit if yours is a bottom loading and vice-versa.

As Normski says you will have to find out whether yours has an external amp or not,located at left side of glovebox, if you have the se model will have an amp, the "s" model hasn't.

To make absolutely sure you need same model number.....Hope this helps.
