Boot Doesn't Open

Recommended Posts

When I push the button on the key to open the boot door, I can hear the relay in the rear left fender that should activate the unlocking.

Whatever I do, the voltage between the 2 wires at the lock remains null.

I checked all the fuses, they are all ok. I can open using the driver lever and when introducing the key in the lock, it is only the electric part that is out.

Can it be the lock motor or the relay in the boot ?

Is there a specific fuse I haven't seen ?

Thanks

Someone had this a lil while back....do a search :)

I think it was something to do with using your key to open the boot, but leaving the lock vertical.

Do the search  :

I did a search, the vertical position only allows you to open with the lever. All the mechanism is working, it is the electric part that is out of service

the Green/Yellow wire to the lock mechanism should put a +12volt feed to the actuator, this should unlock the boot.

If there isn't 12volts on that wire (when pressing the key fob boot release button), there is a cylindrical shaped relay in the boot behind the near side trim. This controls the boot actuator.

This in turn is controlled by a 20amp fuse in the drivers side kick well. The fuse is a Yellow 20 amp on the top row, in the middle of the three, labled "Door".

Hope this helps.
