I have checked the fuse and that is OK but changed it in any case but still no joy.

Has always worked charging and hands free. Any ideas?

Well the problem has been solved. After my village garage spent 10 mins chasing the wiring deep into the engine bay hidden from all but the most observant is a fuse which was almost unrecognisable as being a fuse because of how filthy it was, 10 mins spent cleaning everything up, changing the fuse and routing the wiring into a much cleaner and easier acesssed area of the engine bay and all for the price of a couple of pints of black Irish gold.

I hate having anything that doesent work no matter what it does. Mike
