Cheers Ian. I'm hoping not to have any more work done to the car. The springs and roll bars may be put on the back burner for a year. Is it just me, or does that list total £6500?

Oh ****.

We'll call this the don't tell the wife thread . . . .

Total expenditure, including purchase, since 05/01/2013 is £6585.97. While some items are essential tax insurance etc, that is still a lot. . . . . . .

Petrol costs are about £1200, already, too!

Very pleased to see your looking after her regardless of expense. Well done :) Luckily for me the previous owner spent a good grand on mine before i bought it on tyres, servicing and such :whistling:

Have to say though, some things seem a bit much. Alloy refurbs £300 odd? 4x alloys in the same colour shouldnt cost more than £200? £150 even....

Cambelt, WP and Aux belts £600+? Parts are £150 - £250 and labour shouldnt be more than £100?

So you go to Lexus i take it

After seeing your insurance makes me realise im doing alright! I pay £431 and am 25 so thats not bad

So whats Lexus service plan btw? looks like something special at that price! :o

Hi Petay. The alloys were £65 per wheel for refurb and I had a bad set (5) of 17" alloys. I have seen people saying there's a place in Cardiff that will do them for £50 per wheel, but I'd heard good things about The Wheel Specialist, so I was happy to pay and I'm happy with the results.

Yeah, I've had the cambelt WP auxiliary belts etc, rear parking sensors done by Lexus Cardiff. I'm in a good place at the moment amd don't mind paying.

The Service Plan, quite simply is a paymemt plan. My 130000, 140000 & 150000 mile services are paid via direct debit so I don't have to pay a lump sum at the time. So the final price will be what I have paid by the time the last direct debit goes out in October.
