I remember I eventually won with the insurers and got £2k for my write-off 1994 Mk2 with 42k miles, thru' March to June 2010. It was a struggle.

This one might be a tad over-priced, has the cambelt been done I wonder at 88000 miles and 10 years ownership !

If it was £1k then I would say grab it but at £1750, well, maybe if it's absolutely outstanding and everything is up-to-date, like the cambelt.

And I do prefer my Mk3 too.

If the cam belt was replaced at 62k it is over due on time now. £1200 would be more like it allowing for a belt replacement, non interference engine mind you

The very low annual mileage for the last 10 years would make me wary on this car. Average of 1200 miles a year! Must have been standing for lots of long periods, and that's not good for a car. Does look well though.

It does cross my mind occasionally -about how easy it could be, (if the person were especially skilled in this dubious practice) given the electronic sophistication of Lexus cars,is it easy to tamper with the odometer of these cars? call me an old cynic, but without complete service history records, one can never be absolutely sure......

Mind you-it was easier in the old days, dodgy geezer/seller would disconnect the odometer cable from gearbox-fit ithe inner cable to the chuck of an electric-drill, whizz it back a few thousand miles, bobs your uncle, fanny your etc.... bit of sawdust in the gearbox to keep the bearing-whine down till the motor is sold, them were the days....
