I have heard this name Falkens alot on here , is it the tyre brand name.and are they good .

I had Falken ZE 912 95v, 225/55/16 tyres all round on my old P reg LS 400.

Cost £300 for them inc delivery from here

Price has gone up £20 and delivery is now charged i see.

Well happy with them, smooth ride, quiet and good traction in both wet and dry, would have took them to my newer LS 430 but they don't fit.

Still got 3 of them in the garage on the rims.

Bought mine a rear bumper respray this week, just to tidy it up. And I bought myself a Rock-Ola jukebox from the 70's!

Just out of interest, as mine needs doing, what did the bumper respray cost?

£120. That was the bit at the bottom (trim) Unfortunatley as the bumpers are in two colours it'll maybe cost twice that to do both parts. However, not as much as it will cost to do my Vectra's bumper!!

chris sorry to hijack the thread but what you currently running on your 430? and feedback please - i have bridgestones on mine and cant decide wether im be hyper critical over tyre noise i get - thanks

Hiya

All the tyres were on when i got the car are are in good condition with lots of tread life.

FR Pirelli P7 - FL Dunlop Sport - rears Accelera

Noise from FR P7 is loud, have tried it on other wheel location and noise moves with it, wont be using these.

Noise from Dunlop is not so bad.

Noise from the Accelera is hardly noticeable, but is as loud as the P7 when on the front.

Spare is Accelera

Will be checking the ratings of the above tyres with the new tyre marking rules to see where they stack up.

The overall drive i get is good all round in most conditions, louder running noise with the usual crap road surfaces we have all over the uk.

Not had any issues with braking or grip in damp or slippery conditions, although i have not tried an emergency stop with a fully planted brake foot yet, may try it in morning on a quiet bit of road.
