Boo-hoo Bmw

Collected a work colleague at 8:45 this morning after he dropped his new(ish) 325i off at the local Bee-Em dealer for new brake pads. He was told he'd be called that morning with advice of the cost & when he could collect it.

Lunchtime came & went... no phone call.

At 4:00pm he calls... "Oh sorry, we've been very busy, we'll call you back in 10 minutes".

4:30pm he calls... "Oh sorry, we've been very busy, we'll call you back in 10 minutes".

4:50pm he calls... "Oh sorry, yes the mechanic is just doing the pads now".

5:15pm we arrive at the garage... "Oh sorry, it's not ready, it needs new disks aswell!".

6:00pm the car is finally ready. Work colleague is livid & asks for the service manager. Service manager says "Very sorry, but you can take it or leave it".

HOWEVER.... what was funniest was that I parked my IS amongst their used cars and came out to find three Bee-Em salesmen cooing over it & peering in the windows.

"How much extra is the leather on one of these?" one asks.... "Nothing, it's all included except the satnav".

"What's the satnav like?"... after a short demo, I can sense they're well impressed, although they don't say anything

That's one up for Lexus - and you cannot believe how smug I felt as I drove away...... B)

I had a simliar experince a while back with an ex BMW driver.

All comes as standard I told him :P (I didn't have Sat Nav to demo though)
