Best Way To Sell An Is200

Morning all.

Well I'm sad to say it, but I think it's time for the IS to go. It's been absolutely faultless and I love the car, however I'm hopefully starting a new job soon - a great opportunity and a lot more money, but it's also a lot more of a commute, With the notorious fuel economy of the IS and the other running costs it just doesn't make sense for me to keep it so I'll be selling it and buying something dull and diesely.

Given that everyone who does more than a mile a week thinks they need a diesel supermini, how hard are these cars to shift? Would autotrader be the best place or do I need to look at more specialist places (here/other jap forums etc). Any other words of wisdom for selling thee, things most buyers look out for?

Fwiw, the car is an 05 sportcross with nav, 2 previous owners although the first was Lexus themselves as it was a showroom car (first service stamp at 2 miles!). 116k miles with servicing always done on the nose, mostly by Lexus. A few minor knocks and scuffs but generally very tidy, immaculate inside. There's a bit of bubbling of the paint on the tailgate - its aluminium so it's not going to be rust, but should I sort it first? It's standard apart from having the 17" wheels rather than the 16s and recently refurbished in a gunmetal colour. Oh, and an iPod interface,

I was thinking about advertising it at £3295 with a view to take £3k...does this sound reasonable?

Thanks for any help or pointers - last time I had to sell an "unusual" car (Saab 9-3 aero) it took ages!

auction or we buy any car .com but dont expect to get £3000 for it as they will need to sell it on to make some profit but you can get a quote online . maybe someone on here looking for a sportcross might be interested worth advertising it.

I remember someone on here was looking for a sportcross, I can't remember their screen name though. For someone who would be specifically looking for your car (lexus estate), I'd recommend Autotrader as a good place to post an ad, not sure how much they charge though.

If you are desperate you can use webuyanycar or trade-in at a dealer but expect peanuts for it.. just a thought.
