Euro Emmisions Standards Help (Euro4 Or Euro 5)

Dear All

Would you be able to help me find the Euro Emissions Standard for my IS250? I have contacted Lexus however they cannot help me because the car isnt registered in the UK. I bought the IS250 auto in July 2008, its just above the standard spec, but doesnt have GPS dash if thats any help. Its automatic and takes petrol. Essentially its either a EURO 4 or EURO 5. Thanks

Hi I have the same issue, I own es350 2008 Lexus and would like to know how to find out if it is euro 4 or euro 5 and where does it say officially that it is one of these. I can't register car because of this. Also the car was registered in the US first, does it mean any US cars aren't eligible for euro 4 standard? Please help, much appreciated!

The ES350 wasn't available in the UK and even if it was the US versions have different emission controls so I don't think you can assume a certain level can be applied. The closest thing we had was the RX350 which uses a similar engine.

The engine in the ES350 almost certainly isn't Euro V compliant, as that wasn't enforced to existing vehicles until 2011, so the best you can hope for is Euro IV.
