On looking through eBay a few times i have seen breakers selling fuel injector rails from the is200

Is there any benefit in taking these out and giving these a clean or a case of if its not broke dont fix it. To be honest i do not even know where these are installed in the engine bay anyway?

Anybody done this / have any info or know where they are located?

If you were to take them out the only way of cleaning them properly would be ultrasonic cleaning then flow testing.

they are the right hand side of the engine as you look at it from the front

There was a recent post on LOC.com where a member had had his fuel injectors cleaned and tested from an LS400.

It made little difference as they were all pretty good even after all the years they had been in.

Given the cost of the process and the small if any benefits I would leave them as they are if you are not experiencing any running problems.

Using good grade fuels will keep them within specification.

I still pour in some injector cleaner or Redex from time to time, don't know if it helps or not.

I was going to ask if RedeX/other brand cleaners are actually any good/worth doing. You see the bottles all singing and dancing about removing carbon build up and reducing emissions, but no idea if it actually makes a difference.....?
