Hi,

Hope you people can help.

Do any of you guys know about the Lexus/Allard concept?

I know that only 3 were made, and that one of them was destroyed in a accident.

I own one of them and was just wondering if anyone knows where her sister car is.

Many thanks

Hello and welcome to the LOC.

This is interesting, there was a British Racing Green one so is that the written off one or the other one?

The front end looks a bit like a later Jaguar model with quad headlights.

Could you post up some more pictures?

Were there any changes to the interior?

Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply.

I think the seats are different and I'll post some pics of them tomorrow.

The rear and front are the only other parts of the car that I can see was restyled.

I've seen the pictures of the green one online, but I have no idea which one was written off.

Wow, i would be very interested in more images of this car...very interesting indeed, how did you come across the car

Just had a quick Google, i can only see reference to 2 only having been made?

I like the colour of this - never heard of the Allard association with Lexus before.

Has it done many miles?

Can you give us a brief on the spec: engine size/type etc.

Literally one in a million.

It is basically as far as I can tell and have found out from Lloyd Allard son of Alan Allard (retired) who was the director of the company that designed it.

That there was 3 built, one unfortunately was written off in an accident.

Here is as much of the story of it I can find online http://www.mulsannes...rdj2xstory.html

It is a Lexus 400LS.

As the V5 document states.

I got the car from my father in law who I believe purchased it from the designer.

It has done 132000 miles

That's an amazing car! Thanks for the link to the story, very interesting.

Never seen anything like it! Love the look of the exterior but sorry the interior is a bit "in your face RED" lol... No offence!

:)

Never knew this existed, definitely worth a lot to a collector. Hopefully the other owner is around somewhere...

Well guy's.

The time has come to let the car go.

Any idea on how much I should let her go for, I'm truly stumped on how much it is worth.

Any ideas?

It's a speciality car, maybe the only one left in existence. It's worth more than a grand surely. I'd get it professionally valued, don't know how you go about that but I'm sure the internet can help you :)

I would seriously consider a professional valuation or even make enquiries with a motor museum as this seems to be a collectors item.

Or put it into storage and leave it until you retire as your investment pot.

Reading the story it says only two lexus where modified and shown to Toyota nothing is mentioned about a third being destroyed am I looking at the wrong story.

Sorry for bringing up an old topic but i see one of these on the 107 bus through Borehamwood near an accident repair specialist. It seems to have a personalised plate on it and i was wondering if it's the second car or has yours passed on to a new owner?

EDIT:

Just been over on pistonheads and found a topic from 2007 referencing the car and area that I'm familiar with. It is in fact the second car.

I saw the green sister car a year or two back in Whitley Bay, NE England. It looked like a daily driver.

I saw the green car parked in Durham City a couple of years ago looking very rough with a badly worn interior. Not a good looking car to be honest.

interesting addition to description on eBay for anyone interested.

Please be sure this is not an Allard car, it's registered as a Lexus LS400 and simply has had an Allard conversion applied to the bodywork and some interior alterations.
