Thinking Of A Change. Advice Appreciated

I've had my 93 LS for 5 years now and it's just sailed through another MOT but I'm seriously thinking of buying a later one as it does need a few things sorting out. Can anyone tell me the pros and cons of say a 99-2000 model, what should I be looking for etc. I saw this one on eBay today but as I had to go to a wedding I missed it but was seriously tempted. What sort of price should I be looking to pay. I'm in no hurry.

Thanks

Phil

If youre happy with the one you have, whats stopping you sorting the things that you say need sorting?

Well that's a very good question. I suppose it's just that the work needed will cost more than the car's worth, plus having a later one seems like a good idea if I can get one with good history.

ahh that old one of it costing more than the cars worth. If youre not attatched to the car then go for it. Personally I think that Lexus have done an amazing job of keeping their cars "with the times" and the newer ones still look phenomenal, unlike so other cars the look ugly. I guess you just have to way up the pros and cons. Or if youre like me just decide you want to get one, do your research and buy buy buy.

I suppose to say it's more than the car's worth is daft really because it's always down to how much it's worth to you. I only intended to keep this one for a year but it's been five! I paid £1,500 for it with 107,000 on the clock, it's now done 132,000 and has cost me about £200 in repairs, not bad eh?

I'm probably putting it on eBay this week, no idea how much it's worth but I'm guessing £300-£400.

Anyway, I seem to have set my mind on a later one so no trying to talk me out of it!

Does anyone know what to avoid on the later models? (apart from possibly air suspension)
