New Wheels

Hey!

Im new in these car things, but im learning all the time. I got couple questions about the orginal wheels of my lexus and question about buying new ones aswell.

I need to buy winter tires for my new lexus, and I dont have rims for winter ether. I was thinking buying new rims (17'') for summer and put my ''old'' lexus rims for winter (17'' alloy rims as seen in my profile picture). In winter we have lots of snow and cold weathers (-35celsius). So can the rims stand winter without any problem or do I need to buy seperateto rims for winter aswell?

Another questions is if I buy new rims, what dimensions, height and things like that I need to know to buy right sized wheel.

the rimms will be fine in the winter it is the tires you should worry about: get yourself some decent winter tires around them and you'll be fine. but if the snow is thick enough you'll still have problems driving of and you still can get stuck as this is what is the biggest problem with RWD.

There are other Japanese manufacturers which use the same wheel fitment such as Mitsubishi and some Mazda models (RX7/RX8).

Main requirements are diameter, number of studs ( 5 for Lexus) PCD 114.3 and Bore 60.1mm ( the centre hole size) if the bore is larger you can buy adaptors to fit (spigot rings).

Be careful buying secondhand wheels, check for damage which may be hidden and make sure they are all straight.

Thank you guys very much for the information that helped me. Yeah Im thinking buying Continental winter viking 2 for tires. Do you guys know any cheap place to order wheels and tires from europe?
