Where For Parts?

I'm new to Lexus ownership with a '99 LS400. Where is the best place to get parts? Do Toyota dealers supply them or do I need to go to a Lexus dealer for dealer-only parts like the pollen filter? Any recommendations? Motor factors like Partco will I assume be able to supply some bits but is there anywhere that will supply OEM parts at prices lower than the main dealers?

You can get parts from either Lexus or Toyota but you normally get free coffee and biscuits at Lexus and the prices are the same.

Plenty of after market parts around for brake pads,discs etc both actual shops and online.

Lexus US parts are a lot cheaper than UK prices but beware of shipping costs and possible import duty and VAT.

Rock Auto and Sewell Lexus are worth a look.

Pollen filter will be main dealer only at around £50.00!

Thanks for that. As it happens, I've just found an OEM-quality (reputedly!) pollen filter on eBay for £18 delivered. I'll report back on how it compares to the factory part.

The eBay pollen filter has arrived and fits perfectly. It has a few less corrugations than the one fitted but is otherwise identical so I'd recommend it.
