Engine Management Light On

hi people,,me again,,well im not happy,,i went and picked up a electric Jeep for me daughter just and car ran fine,,on way back,,noticed car was lacking power and the engine management light come,,iv come home home plugged me self diagnostic tool in and its saying,,misfire in cylinder 1,3 and 5,,surely that's not possibly,and of course it juddering like a kangaroo,any body got any idea;s as im getting stressed

misfire in cylinders could either be sparkplugs too old and need replacing or dead ignition coils so start by having new set of Denso iridium plugs fitted see if it cures it if not then ignition coils would be next. but rather than having to second guess why not book it into Lexus so they can diagnose the exact problem then you could buy the parts and have a reliable mechanic fit them..

looks like im gona have to,,just noticed another problem,,just herd a clicking had alook and it clicking on the carb thingy,,ware the accelerater cable goes too,,there a spring retained round thing that goes in to the body,,and its moving back and fourth,,which aint right,,hope its not to seriouse as money aint best at moment,,

hopefully wont cost you lots i'll say sort out the misfire first as thats most important and clicking noise could follow later if booked into Lexus they can do a check over of the vehicle aswell and report on things that needs attention but you dont have to do it with them so just mention about the noise aswell and they can diagnose the problem once you know what needs replacing you can just get the parts and head to your mechanic friend.
