Miscellaneous Questions About Rx300

Recommended Posts

I have a reconditioned Toyota Harrier (Lexus RX300) 3.0Vvti from Japan and was wondering if the forumners could help me out with the details. I only have the Japanese car manual; since I don't speak Japanese, it was quite a challenge trying to decipher the manual :D Anyway, here are my questions :-

1. What is the recommended tyre pressure for RX300? Front and rear.

2. What are the brand of the original tyres fixed on brand new Harrier (98-03 model).

3. What is that little red thing in front of the gear stick. The inscription is in Japanese, and it does not do anything when I pressed it. Should I even press the button?

4. Could any air-cond specialist deal with Harrier/RX300 air-conditioning system, if repairs are required. Here in Malaysia, Harrier is a grey-market import and not supported by Toyota/Lexus dealers.

5. What are the manufacturer's recommendation for camber, toe and caster for RX300.

6. What type of coolant is suitable for RX300? Could I use Redline Waterwetter? What are the types recommended by the manufacturer.

I appreciate any help on any of the queries.

3. The little red button may be the shift lock override. Try holding it down and moving the gear level out of park with the ignition off. It's used so that if your Battery is flat you can put it in N to push the car.

6. I would recommend using Toyota ForLife. Get it at any Toyota/Lexus dealer. I do not see the need to increase the performance of the cooling system by using a wetter unless you are planning on thrashing your car all the time or maybe towing.
