Carl, the sensor that you mention, is that the part on your earlier list 89467-48050 MCU3 No1 ? I expect Lexus to charge me £331 like the other sensor. Could I do this myself, is it just a case of unscrewing one end and unplugging the other end or should I leave it to Lexus ? I have also read that when changing these parts, its best to get them from the dealer and use original parts, or can I get this part from somewhere else is lexusbrim on eBay? Appreciate you sticking with me on this and helping. Bobby.

Yes get a genuine Lexus part for sure. It is quite tricky to access if you don't have a ramp. It is a easy job otherwise. If Lexus have changed the wrong sensor I would hope they would offer you some kind of goodwill.

L89467-48050 is bank 1 sensor 1 yes.

Worth getting sorted: you may encounter a more serious problem and not know about it because the light on your dashboard is already on.

Yes, intend getting this sorted asap. Shipped around for original part NOT from a Lexus dealer and they are still very expensive, so the price if £330 including fitting is not so bad after all, so I think I will get them to supply and fit for piece of mind. Just hope this works !!! Cheers.

Hi Mac,

like I said before, DENSO DOX 0243, FROM SPARKPLUGS .CO.UK, £75, same part, different part number, same make and spec, as fitted to many rx300s in the US and UK, just as I fitted to mine!

Cheers for this, I will order one and get my local village garage to fit it, as they have a ramp and will do it quicker and they are cheap on labour.
