Ls400 90 To 00 Models

I was checking the specs on a LS400 and parkers came up with this

Lexus LS 400

Lexus LS400 V8/3969 BHP 280 top Speed 155 0-60 time = 6.9 MPG=23

Lexus LS400 V8/3969 BHP 241 top Speed 155 0-60 time =8.2 MPG=25.1

Lexus LS 400 V8/3969 BHP 260 top Speed 155 0-60 time = 7.5 MPG=23.5

what i want to know is which year was the 280 BHP model?

The Mk IV came out in 1997 with 280 bhp and had further tweaks the following year.

I take it the engines were all different.. do you know the engine number for the 97?
