Is 350 F-Sport - Parts Availability In Uk?

Hi,

I own a 2011 IS350 F-Sport in Australia and will shortly be returning to the UK. I'm considering importing the car but see it is not available in the UK. Does anyone know if the parts are standard across the Lexus ranges or would it likely present problems for servicing and repairs?

I rang a dealership but they were somewhat vague, so thought I'd come to the experts

You will find a lot of shared parts across the range as long as you have the part numbers e.g the IS350 front calipers, discs & pads are the same parts as used on the GS300 Mk3 so are available in the UK. Body panels etc. are of course the same as the IS250.

You will have quiite a rare car in the UK, and by comparison the IS-F will appear quite common . It's a pity Lexus decided not to import the IS350 into Europe as having driven a few in the USA ,I would not have hesitated in buying one instead of my IS250 (and probably not have purchased the IS-F).

what was Lexus's reason for not bringing the 350 to UK? it doesnt make sense if they thought it wouldnt sell because they had the IS-F and GS430 here both of which are bigger engines than the 350 cus that would have been my next car after IS300 gets tired...

I have a JDM model LS400 and have never had a problem with spares, I look up the part numbers for the UK specification LS and quote the numbers to my local dealer.

There are some differences but 90% of the time parts are the same.

Even when I needed a new headlight unit after the old one was was broken in an accident ( they are different on UK spec models) it was ordered from Toyota Japan,arrived in 10 days and the price was less than the UK spec item.

So don't worry spares won't be a problem.
