Timing Belt Kits

Recommended Posts

Hello and welcome to the LOC.

You would get more responses if you posted this question in the LS400 forum so I will move it to there for you.

Yes the US kits are fine for UK/European models I bought mine from there and saved money but dependent on where you live you may have to pay import duty and VAT.

Make sure the belt is a branded make like Gates and the bearings are manufactured in Japan. If you are buying OEM Lexus parts from Sewell or Carson Lexus for example you will be fine.

You don't say which year your LS400 is but it is normally 60,000 miles (100,000Kms).

Make sure the kit contains all the idlers and tensioner and it is normally a good idea to replace the water pump at the same time as the timing belt.

There are some good tutorials for belt replacement available.
